Alfalfa

Do you want a well-behaved, incredibly sweet, soft to the touch, and social dog? Alfalfa is your guy! This sweetheart recently completed the "Pawsitive Training Program," a partnership with the nearby Shelby County Division of Corrections. Alfalfa was paired with a team of female inmates who taught him basic training over six weeks while the women gained new skills and learned about responsibility and accountability.

Alfalfa was originally brought in as a tiny puppy with his 7 littermates. He was recently a returned adoption after several months because the family was moving somewhere else not pet friendly. Alfalfa has a wonderful demeanor regardless of his struggles. He knows to sit on cue, loves giving kisses, walks politely on leash, and enjoys meeting new people. He previously lived with 5 children and has played well with other dogs at the Humane Society, so would do well in a family setting. Come give those puppy eyes a chance!
