Vet Technician and Assistant – Full-Time

The Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County, with a longstanding tradition of giving hope to homeless and injured animals, seeks to hire a full-time Veterinary Technician or Assistant to join our team. Experience in surgical preparations/assistance, anesthesia, dental procedures, IV catheterization, client education, and overall veterinary nursing preferred. Experience is preferred, but not required. Recent LVMT graduates are encouraged to apply.

Cat Kennel Technician – Part-Time

Under the leadership of the Cat Adoption Center Supervisor, a Kennel Technician provides daily care, cleaning, and feeding to cats in the Cat Adoption Center. This position works to ensure the health, safety, comfort, and well-being of animals in our care and adheres to all safety and cleaning/handling policies to prevent the spread of disease. Cat Kennel Technicians assist and support volunteers in providing exercise and socialization of cats, assist the adoption team in showing cats and facilitating adoptions as requested, and actively participate in the socialization and training of cats as directed.

Dog Kennel Technician

Under the leadership of the Dog Kennel Assistant Manager, a Kennel Technician provides daily care, cleaning, training and feeding to dogs at our facility. This position works to ensure the health, safety, comfort, and well-being of animals in our care and adheres to all safety and cleaning/handling policies to prevent the spread of disease. Dog Kennel Technicians assist and support volunteers in providing exercise and socialization of dogs, assist the adoption team in showing dogs and facilitating adoptions as requested, and actively participate in the socialization and training of dogs as directed.
