Lead Veterinarian

Are you eager to combine a harmonious work-life balance with your passion for animals? Join our team of dedicated veterinarians who provide top-tier veterinary services to the dogs and cats in our shelter while actively impacting animals and families in our community through our low-cost community veterinary clinic. We offer low-cost spay and neuter services and routine wellness care, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including ultrasound, digital X-ray, and cautery.

Education and Outreach Intern

The Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County is on the lookout for an Education and Outreach Intern for the Summer of 2024. Get ready to dive into the awesomeness of the Animal Explorers Camp!

Picture this: a vibrant camp where kids aged 8-12 embark on a journey to discover the wonders of animals, compassionate pet care, and animal welfare. We’re talking crafts, live tutorials from cool nonprofit educators like County Park Rangers and Memphis Zoo pros, and even some quality play and cuddle time with our adorable shelter pets! If you’re a kid at heart who loves working with 8-12 year olds and animals, you’re our kind of person.



Marketing Intern

As a Marketing Intern at the Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County, you will play a vital role in supporting our marketing efforts, increasing our online presence, and contributing to our mission of finding forever homes for animals in need. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the non-profit sector while making a meaningful impact.




Senior Manager, Development

The Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Manager in the Development Department. This position plays a crucial role in advancing our mission through general fundraising activities, donor engagement, events, grant writing, and community outreach efforts.
