Being a pet parent can be a lot of work! The good news is, there are many animal care professionals in our area who can help you with whatever you may need!
Specialty Veterinary Care

Pet Food Pantry
For pet owners in need, the Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County has limited amounts of free dog and cat food. It is available to pet owners on government assistance who also qualify for our Low-Cost Vet Clinic. We will help with free food, once a month, for up to three months. To get pet food, stop by during business hours, Tuesday through Saturday, 10am til 5pm.
Memphis Animal Services (MAS) also offer pet food assistance. Learn more by clicking the button below.
CareCredit is a healthcare credit card designed for your health and wellness needs for you, your entire family and your pets. To find out how CareCredit is different from other credit cards and to find out how to apply, click below:
At the Humane Society, we only recommend using positive reinforcement training, and trainers who exclusively use these methods and avoid any aversive techniques. Our staff Dog Trainer offers a Saturday morning positive training course. Please email email@example.com to learn more. There is also a professional organization called Positive Trainers of the Mid-South, which is a great place to start in looking for a dog trainer. Keep in mind that there may be positive dog trainers not involved with this group, so it’s good to do your own research. But make sure they use only positive training methods.
The Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County is proud to be supported by Hollywood Feed.
