At just 2 years old, this sweet stray came to us in incredibly rough shape-so sick he had to be wheeled in on a cart. But London had other plans. In just a few short weeks, he's made an unbelievable turnaround, going from barely hanging on to running around and playing fetch like it's his full-time job. And trust us… this boy loooooves his balls
London is the kind of dog who reminds you how strong and resilient love can be. Even though he's still facing medical challenges, his spirit is bright, his tail still wags, and he soaks up every bit of affection he can get. He's been coexisting well with a few other dogs here and is more of a laid-back companion.
London does have ongoing medical needs. He has kidney disease and is heartworm positive, but unfortunately is not a candidate for heartworm treatment. He is currently on a prescription kidney diet, Hill's Prescription Diet k/d Kidney Care Dog Food, which costs about $119 per 27.5 lb bag through Chewy and lasts roughly a month. His future care may include things like subcutaneous fluids, routine blood work every 3-6 months, blood pressure monitoring, and medications to keep him comfortable (such as anti-nausea meds or appetite support). Because his condition is expected to progress, London is considered a hospice (or "fospice") candidate. What he needs most is a compassionate home willing to give him comfort, dignity, and love for however long he has.
And we promise-what you get in return is something really special. A dog who fought his way back just to love and be loved.
