Flint is a 5-year-old, 50-lb Shepherd mix who came to us as a stray. When he first arrived, he was very shy and unsure of his new surroundings. With patience and kindness, he has slowly begun to let his true personality shine – and it's full of sweetness, goofiness, and surprising bursts of joyful energy.
Flint is still learning that new people can be friends, so he'll do best in a calm, low-traffic home where he can decompress, feel safe, and continue building his confidence at his own pace. But once he trusts you? He becomes a fun, playful companion who loves to zoom around the yard, play tug, and run around with his favorite humans. His silly, energetic side is one of his best surprises.
He has met other dogs and done well, though he prefers relaxed hangouts over rough-and-tumble play. A calm canine friend could be a great fit for him.
