Low-Income Vaccinations

PLEASE NOTE: Instead of our normal large scale vaccination events, we are now scheduling individual vaccination appointments for each animal.  We apologize for the inconvenience, but your animal will receive a more personal vaccination experience.  We are monitoring the social distancing guidelines issued by the World Health Organization, the Center for Disease Control, and our state and local governments to help us make this decision.  Once we feel like it is safe to have the large scale events we will re-evaluate our current procedures.  If you have any questions, please email Matthew Womack at mwomack@memphishumane.org .

Thanks to the continued generosity of an anonymous donor, we will continue to provide low-cost vaccines for Shelby County residents who receive government assistance in 2021! We vaccinated over 630 animals during 2019.

HSMSC provides low-cost vaccinations as resources allow for Shelby County residents who receive government assistance.  These events are hosted as funding permits. If you’d like to be notified via email of future low-cost vaccination opportunities, fill out the form below.  Please fill out the form slowly and make sure you type your email address correctly or you will not receive notification of the event.

After filling out the form, we will be able to contact you to schedule an appointment but because of such high demand, the current wait time for an appointment is about 8 weeks.  That means we may not contact you for up to 4 weeks because we don’t want to schedule the appointments too far in advance.  Appointments are only made on Thursdays between 1-3PM.  Please keep this in mind when signing up.  If you need immediate services, you will need to utilize a private veterinarian or contact your local animal control department for upcoming public vaccine opportunities.

Arrive 15 minutes before your appointment to fill out paperwork.  Masks are required.  Please leave your animal in your vehicle until all paperwork is completed.  Below is a list of services and their prices.  Please note that a $15 exam fee is added to all appointments and a rabies vaccine is required unless you have records of it previously being done.

Dogs must be on leash, and cats must be in a carrier. Please bring proof of income qualification.  You will enter the Humane Society from Farm Road and leave your animal in your car.  Come to the intake door and get your paperwork.  Once you have finished your paperwork we will have you bring your pet to the door.  We reserve the right to refuse any animal that poses a risk to our staff or volunteers.

Fill out the form below to be contacted about upcoming vaccine appointments.  If your pet also needs to be spayed or neutered, please fill out this form and they can get vaccines at the same time they are being fixed.
