Low-Income Vaccinations

PLEASE NOTE: Instead of our normal large scale vaccination events, we are now scheduling individual vaccination appointments for each animal.  We apologize for the inconvenience, but your animal will receive a more personal and comprehensive vaccination experience.  If you have any questions, please email Megan Toeller at mtoeller@memphishumane.org .

Thanks to the continued generosity of an anonymous donor, we will continue to provide low-cost vaccines for Shelby County residents who receive government assistance in 2021! We vaccinated over 630 animals during 2019.

HSMSC provides low-cost vaccinations as resources allow for Shelby County residents who receive government assistance.  These events are hosted as funding permits.  You can sign up for an appointment below.  You will be required to pay a portion of your fee up front.  Refunds will not be given for missed appointments.  Your appointment can be rescheduled if you give us at least 72 hours’ notice.  The fee you will pay ($25) covers a basic examination and a rabies vaccination for one pet.  Additional services and prices can be seen below.

Appointments are only made on Thursdays between 1-3PM.  Please keep this in mind when signing up.  If you need immediate services, you will need to utilize a private veterinarian or contact your local animal control department for upcoming public vaccine opportunities.  Appointments can only be scheduled up to 3 weeks in advance.  New appointments are released every Thursday.

Arrive 15 minutes before your appointment to fill out paperwork.  Masks are required.  Please leave your animal in your vehicle until all paperwork is completed.  Below is a list of services and their prices.  Please note that a $15 exam fee is added to all appointments and a rabies vaccine is required unless you have records of it previously being done.

You must bring proof of income qualification.  You will enter the Humane Society from Farm Road and leave your animal in your car.  Come to the intake door and get your paperwork.  Once you have finished your paperwork we will have you bring your pet to the door.  We reserve the right to refuse any animal that poses a risk to our staff or volunteers.
