Low-Income Vaccinations

PLEASE NOTE: Instead of our normal large scale vaccination events, we are now scheduling individual vaccination appointments for each animal.  We apologize for the inconvenience, but your animal will receive a more personal and comprehensive vaccination experience.  If you have any questions, please email Megan Toeller at mtoeller@memphishumane.org .

Thanks to the continued generosity of an anonymous donor, we will continue to provide low-cost vaccines for Shelby County residents who receive government assistance in 2022! We vaccinated over 630 animals during 2019.

HSMSC provides low-cost vaccinations as resources allow for Shelby County residents who receive government assistance.  You can sign up for an appointment by contacting the email below.  You will be required to pay a portion of your fee up front.  Refunds will not be given for missed appointments.  Your appointment can be rescheduled if you give us at least 72 hours’ notice.  The fee you will pay ($30) covers a basic examination and a rabies vaccination for one pet.  Additional services and prices can be seen below.

Appointment times on the form are available if they are in blue. If the time slots are grayed out, the appointments have been filled for that day. New appointments for the next month are released on the 15th of each month.

Arrive 15 minutes before your appointment to fill out paperwork.  Please leave your animal in your vehicle until all paperwork is completed.  Below is a list of services and their prices.  Please note that a $15 exam fee is added to all appointments and a rabies vaccine is required unless you have records of it previously being done.

The option to purchase a rabies tag onsite will be available for $6 for spayed/neutered dogs and $16 for intact dogs. Cats do not require a rabies tag. Dogs must be on leash, and cats must be in a carrier. You must bring proof of income qualification.  You will enter the Humane Society from Farm Road and leave your animal in your car.  Come to the intake door and get your paperwork.  Once you have finished your paperwork we will have you bring your pet to the door.  We reserve the right to refuse any animal that poses a risk to our staff or volunteers.

E-mail the contact below to make an appointment for vaccinations.  If your pet also needs to be spayed or neutered, they can get vaccines during surgery.
