LOW-COST VACCINATIONS

Low-Cost Vaccinations

Prices listed below do not reflect any discounts that may be available from grant funding.  If you have specific questions about the cost of an appointment, please email Megan Toeller at mtoeller@memphishumane.org with details about your animal.

Thanks to the continued generosity of an anonymous donor, we will continue to provide low-cost vaccines for Shelby County residents who receive government assistance in 2022! We vaccinated over 800 animals in 2021.

HSMSC provides low-cost vaccinations as resources allow for Shelby County residents who receive government assistance.  You can sign up for an appointment by clicking the link below.  You will be required to pay a deposit to secure an appointment.  Refunds will not be given for missed appointments.  Your appointment can be rescheduled if you give us at least 72 hours’ notice.  The fee you will pay ($30) covers a basic examination and a rabies vaccination for one pet.  Additional services and prices can be seen below.

When signing up, you will be able to select the date and time from the available appointments that is most convenient for you.  Please leave your animal in your vehicle until all paperwork is completed.  Below is a list of services and prices.  As mentioned above, a $30 deposit per pet is required for all appointments.  Also, you are required to purchase a rabies vaccine and Memphis Rabies tag unless you have proof that your pet is up to date on that vaccine.

Also at the Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County, we encourage all pet owners to have their pet spayed or neutered since it is required by city ordinance for all pets that do not have a fertile animal permit from the city.  Because of that, we are requiring a $50 fee for any animal that has not been spayed or neutered.  If you would like to have your animal spayed or neutered through our clinic, that $50 fee will be applied to the cost of the surgery as long as it is booked within 6 months of the date of the vaccination appointment (surgery is not done the day of your vaccine appointment).

The option to purchase a rabies tag at your appointment will be available for $6 for spayed/neutered dogs and $16 for intact dogs. Cats do not require a rabies tag. Dogs must be on leash, and cats must be in a carrier. You must bring proof of income qualification.  You will enter the Humane Society from Farm Road and leave your animal in your car.  Come to the intake door and get your paperwork.  Once you have finished your paperwork we will have you bring your pet to the door.  We reserve the right to refuse any animal that poses a risk to our staff or volunteers.

  • Income qualifiers include any of the following:
    • SS: Social Security
    • DB: disability (if someone can show proof that they have applied for disability and are waiting for approval, we will service them)
