WHAT: This pet-centric architectural event will showcase one-of-a-kind doghouse and cat condo creations by the AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) community.
WHY: This event will help increase awareness of animal homelessness in our community. Proceeds from the competition will provide animals with a safe place to recover, nutritious food and outstanding veterinary care at our facility. The Humane Society provides sanctuary to over 100 animals on any given day.
WHO: The competition serves to foster relationships between architects, interior designers, builders, and industry partners. They will come together to collaborate, design, and build the doghouse or cat condo of a shelter pet’s dreams! All teams are encouraged to utilize local, responsibly sourced materials and embrace sustainable practices in both design and construction of their entries. Competition is limited to 10 structures.
WHERE: Built designs will be on display at the Humane Society during the annual Paw Prints fundraising event. Houses and condos will be available to bid on during the auction and the lucky winners will go home with a cool, new custom home for their furry friends!
WHEN: Team registration is extended to July 9!
Houses and condos will be displayed at 935 Farm Road starting October 8, 2022.
